Methods for determining 100,000 hr rupture strengths for setting Code stresses were evaluated critically. Using available data for Type 304, Grade 22, and Grade 11 steels, techniques were examined for maximizing the quantity and accuracy of extrapolated strengths and for obtaining average and minimum strength-temperature trend curves.
